About Us.......
I am Malika "Londyn Rose" Becton; I am the lead designer at Weddings of Grace. I love to have fun and
enjoy reading self enriching books. I love to eat, and I am very much so addicted to Gigis Cupcakes. I am
a mother of two and a wife. With God as the head of my life, I believe all things are possible through him. I
I have been creating unique designs since I was a little girl. I must say I got it from my crafty mother who
would wrap presents with the comic section of the newspaper which was cool because we loved to read
them. My mother was a homemaker and very creative. She would paint our rooms in fierce colors and
wasn’t afraid to be different. She use to cut our shirts and make them into different styles, she was an
awesome cook, but was awful when it came to doing my hair (laughing). She put her personal touch on
everything.
I was a designer as a child sewing and designing clothing for my doll babies. You can make the best halter
tops out of the top part of a sock. I taught myself how to braid hair. I would create unique hairstyles and
spend countless hours braiding my doll babies hair. Now that I look back, I see that Weddings of Grace
was evolving way back then. I took art classes in school and created great art work that I was very
proud of; but it still didn't dawn on me what was taking place. I took interior design classes throughout
high school. I actually had to pick out patterns and fabric and make outfits. I would design material for
print, give party tips, plan parties, baby showers, house warming parties and other events. It wasn’t until
I got engaged and began to plan my big day Weddings of Grace was created. I am a firm believer in
building your professionalism in your craft; therefore, I enrolled at Penn Foster into their extensive
wedding planning curriculum and earned my certificate as a Professional Bridal Consultant. I took cake
decorating and floral design classes, and I am an active member with the Association of Bridal
Consultants. I attend workshops and seminars throughout the year to keep me abreast with the current
trends and I never stop educating myself.
